Situated at the foothills of the Andes and next to beautiful Nahuel Huapi Lake, Bariloche is the perfect spot to spend some time on the holidays. It’s been described as a quaint, Swiss-style, South American ski town with lots of chocolate shops around every corner. Sounds like it will be a real treat!
After our fast-paced tour of Patagonia, we wanted to return to our preferred, more slow-paced travels so we booked an apartment through booking.com. Amenities include a stocked kitchen, WiFi, an in-unit washer, and stunning lake and sunset views. Although on the pricier side at $71 USD per night (including all fees), we were in need of a nice play to stay after our “rustic” hostel stays in Patagonia and a 31-hour bus ride from El Calafate.
Always a treat when your host leaves some treats!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by an informative host with a few treats including wine, beer, soda, and snacks! We have a feeling this will be a great stay to enjoy the holidays in the mountains!
*Budget Tip: Stay within walking distance of the city center!
