From towering 360-degree screens to interactive floor projections, every aspect of Immersive Disney Animation is designed to transport you and your family into the heart of Disney magic.
Remember, It’s an Experience for Children
To make the most of the Immersive Disney Animation Experience, it’s crucial to view the show from a child’s perspective. While some parents may feel let down afterward, it’s essential to bear in mind that the entire show is tailored for young children.
While underwhelming for adults, the attraction offers just the right amount of stimulation for a child’s first immersive experience. However, if you’re looking for something for older kids and adults be sure to check out the Immersive Van Gogh Experience at the same location.
Additionally, this is not your typical theater setting with chairs in stacked rows. With the realization that preschoolers do not sit still, families are encouraged to spread out on the floor—similarly to early childhood classrooms.
However, once the show begins preschoolers are supposed to move, dance, and float freely around the space. Generally, parents appreciate that there is no struggle to keep their children seated and confined to a seat for an hour.
What to Expect: A Mother’s Perspective
From the moment we arrived at the venue, my children’s eyes lit up with excitement. As we made our way through the waiting area, they eagerly posed for photos with Mickey Mouse, explored informational displays about Disney animation, and even participated in a drawing activity that taught them how to sketch their favorite characters. It was the perfect way to build anticipation before the main event.
Once inside the immersive theater, the magic truly came to life. With scenes from over 45 Disney movies projected onto floor-to-ceiling screens, we were surrounded by the sights and sounds of our favorite films.
From classic tales like “The Lion King” and “Beauty and the Beast” to modern hits like “Frozen” and “Moana,” there was something for everyone to enjoy.
One of the highlights for my children was the interactive elements scattered throughout the show. They loved stepping on stars and flowers that responded to their movements. Another highlight is the smoke-filled (dry ice) bubbles.
VIP tickets receive custom bracelets that light up in sync with the projections and floor cushions. You can save money by simply getting the basic entry ticket which offers a comparable experience.
Insider Tips for a Magical Visit
As a seasoned Disney mom, I’ve learned a few tricks for making the most of our family outings. Here are some insider tips to help you plan your magical visit to Immersive Disney Animation Las Vegas:
- Purchase tickets in advance: To avoid disappointment, be sure to buy your tickets ahead of time. This will ensure that you secure your preferred date and time, especially during peak seasons.
- Opt for weekday visits: If possible, plan your visit for a weekday when ticket prices tend to be lower and crowds are smaller. This will give you more room to explore and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.
- Stick with basic tickets: The premium and VIP ticket options may sound tempting, however, the standard admission ticket offers plenty of magic on its own. The higher price is for a lighted wristband that illuminates along with the show and a floor cushion. It also includes a souvenir poster and a plastic cup.
There is also no need to pay to skip the line for an open room. Save your money for your own choice of souvenirs or snacks instead.
- Arrive early: Give yourself plenty of time to explore the waiting area before the show begins. This will allow you to take advantage of the exhibits and get into the Disney Spirit. Arriving early will also help take advantage of the bench seating in order not to pay extra for a floor cushion.
- Stay as long as you like: Once the show starts, you’re free to stay and enjoy the experience. Take your time to soak in the magic and revisit your favorite scenes before saying goodbye.
Is Immersive Disney Animation Worth It?
As a mother, I can confidently say that Immersive Disney Animation Las Vegas is worth every penny. From the stunning visuals to the interactive elements and nostalgic charm, it’s a truly unforgettable experience for the whole family.
However, it’s important to manage your expectations. Understand that this isn’t a traditional Disney theme park attraction. Instead, it’s a unique opportunity to step inside the world of Disney animation. We enjoyed reliving some of our favorite movie moments on more of a grander scale.
Personally, for my young ones, it was just the right amount of stimulation to hold their attention. I also appreciated that they were free to move around the space without any constraints. I could sit back for an hour and simply watch them enjoy the show.
