While we’ve never actually been to an Eagles concert, we’ve had two peculiar run-ins with the group.

  1. In 2015, we were randomly staying near the Auckland stadium where the Eagles performed on the day Cyclone Pam hit. It was quite a dramatic experience, and the band had to awkwardly start their performance early at 6 pm.
  2. Driving down Route 66 and visiting Standin’ on the Corner Park in Winslow, Arizona, commemorating the Eagles’ song “Take It Easy” with murals, a statue, and a flatbed truck.

But enough about us. In this article, we’ll dive into the nitty-gritty of how to score affordable tickets to their show at the Sphere. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just curious about what makes this band so special, keep reading to find out.

Multi-Generational American Treasure

From baby boomers growing up with their music to millennials recognizing their timeless classics, the Eagles have their own unique sound. It is often described as pure Americana, with a unique mix of rock, country, and folk influences. Their music tells the story of generations of love, loss, and the American experience.

First, it was U2, then Dead & Company, and now the Eagles!

The group’s most popular songs have become the hits of millions. For example, “Hotel California,” offers mysterious lyrics and an unforgettable guitar solo, continuing to delight listeners decades after its release. “Desperado” speaks to the rebel in all of us, while “Life in the Fast Lane” captures the essence and popular trappings of 1970s excess.

The Eagles Are Pure Americana

One of the reasons fans love the Eagles so much is their ability to paint a vivid picture of American life through their music. Take, for example, the line “Well, I’m standing on the corner in Winslow, Arizona.”

This simple phrase made Winslow, a small town on scenic Route 66, a pilgrimage destination for Eagles fans. Route 66 is often referred to as the “Mother Road.” It stretches from Chicago to Los Angeles and represents the spirit of adventure and freedom that the Eagles often celebrate in their music.

Both the Eagles and Dead & Company have a diehard fan group.

For all of the reasons above, fans are clamoring for tickets. The combination of the Eagles’ legendary status and the Sphere’s cutting-edge technology is set to create an unforgettable entertainment experience, unlike anywhere else on earth.

However, high demand also means high prices. But fear not, there are a few tricks to securing cheap tickets to this must-see event.

Getting Cheap Tickets to the Eagles at the Sphere

Now that we’ve explored the Eagles’ lasting appeal and connection to American culture, let’s focus on how to experience their show at the Sphere without breaking the bank. The following steps will help you navigate the ticket-buying process and increase your chances of finding affordable options.

Seeing a concert at the Sphere will be like no other concert you’ve ever been to before!

However, please realize, when we use the word “cheap” there will be no cheap tickets as in “low in cost” or “inexpensive.” All tickets to a concert at the Sphere will be fairly expensive when looked at by the average tourist. Instead, think of it as getting tickets at the lowest cost possible.

1. Buying Directly With the Box Office

If you seek out tickets as far in advance as possible—think months—then going directly through the box office (aka Ticketmaster) should get you the best available price. However, you’ll pay top dollar and high fees, so it might be worth checking the secondary markets (which we’ll get into next).

Nevertheless, most people, seem to start considering buying tickets a few weeks before their visit, or when they’re already in Las Vegas. This is when prices skyrocket, driving many of us to the secondary ticket market. Here, you can often find ticket holders who can’t attend the show and are desperate to sell their tickets—this is when you can find fantastic deals!

2. Check Secondary Markets

The secondary market consists of ticketholders hoping to resell their originally purchase tickets. Typically, this is mainly made up of three groups:

  1. Ticket Holders Unable to Attend: Individuals who can’t attend due to schedule conflicts or other reasons, leading them to sell their tickets on sites like SeatGeek.
  2. Scalpers and Profiters: Individuals who purchase tickets with the sole intention of reselling them at a higher price, taking advantage of high demand and limited availability.
  3. Ticket Brokers: Professional ticket brokers who buy tickets in bulk or secure prime seats early, then resell them for a profit.

🎫 SeatGeek > Check Availability

The solution is to use reputable secondary market websites like SeatGeek and Vivid Seats. This can help you buy tickets at lower prices, especially as the event date nears and sellers need to sell quickly. In other words, unless you purchased tickets months in advance, the secondary market is where to find the best deals!

3. Check out Vegas.com

Typically, Las Vegas visitors can find good deals on Vegas.com, the city’s #1 wholesaler for cheap shows, tours, rooms, attractions, etc. It’s definitely worth checking out and comparing prices for the Eagles because Vegas.com always has some extraordinary deals available. However, with the Sphere being so new and popular, the cheapest Sphere tickets are typically through the primary ticket seller when booked well in advance.

4. Be Flexible with Dates

If possible, be open to attending on different dates. Weekday shows or those later in the run may be less expensive than weekend or opening nights.

5. Consider Less Prime Seating

The Sphere’s advanced technology means that even seats further from the stage can offer an incredible experience. Don’t dismiss upper-level or side-view seats, as they may provide substantial savings.

Typically, seats in the first balcony (Section 300) and second balcony (Section 400, also known as nosebleed) are more affordable due to their distance from the stage. This is especially true for Sphere Experience shows without a central stage act. While perhaps not ideal for a concert, there really is no bad seat in the Sphere because the enormous screens make band members feel much closer than they appear.

6. Be Patient and Persistent

Keep checking for Eagles tickets at the Sphere regularly. Sometimes additional seats are released closer to the show date, or production holds are lifted.

Get Your Seat to Music History

Seeing the Eagles perform at the Sphere is more than just attending a concert, it’s an opportunity to be part of music history. By following these tips and staying persistent, you can increase your chances of securing affordable tickets to this once-in-a-lifetime event.

As the Eagles themselves sang, “Don’t let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy.” Stay focused, and soon enough, you’ll be standing on that corner in the Sphere, taking it easy with thousands of other fans, experiencing the magic of the Eagles in a whole new way.
